Religion is Advice

By: Indra A. Raksaka

Already a fitroh (nature) of man, love and peaceful living side by side. What's more, we as Muslims who crave an environment that was tied by ukhuwah Islamiyah based aqidah unity, and unity manhaj (in a religious way of life.)

This will happen if between a Muslim one another believe that they are sisters. So that among them will be realized in terms of advising mutual goodness and obedience, advised not to do immoral and forbidden, Allah Ta'ala, and others.
Indeed the advice is the most noble deeds and foremost, because this practice senatiasa performed by the most noble creature of the Prophets and Apostles (His) as a giver of advice and the mandate for the family. Noah 'upon whom be peace said to his people (which means), "I convey unto you the messages of the mandate of my Lord and I give advice to you, and I know from Allah what ye know not." (Surat al-A'raaf: 62). Salih said: 'upon whom be peace to his people, "I have submitted the message of my Lord and I have been giving advice to you, but you do not like people who give advice." (Surat al-A'raaf: 79).

Abdullah bin Mubarak rahimahullah when asked whether the most important deeds, he replied, "Advice for God." From a friend of Abu Ruqayyah Tamim bin Aus Ad-Daary radi 'anhu, the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam said, "Religion is advice". We also asked, "To whom (advice)?". He replied, "The advice is to Allah, His Book, His Messenger, leader of the Muslims and its people (the Muslims)." (Narrated by Muslim).

What is Advice?

Advice was originally taken from Arabic an-nush-hu which means clean from all dirt, or could also merapatnya something that is not far from each other. As for the terms as stated by Ibn Rajab, may Allaah have mercy which quoted speech Al Khaththabi rahimahullah, "Advice is good for people who want advice given."

Advice to Allah ta'ala

As the hadith of Abu Ruqayyah friend Tamim bin Aus Ad Daary radi 'anhu, said that the first advice is advice to Allah ta'ala intention is to make himself a servant of his sincerity to the Lord and believe He is the god the Almighty in Uluhiyyah- His, and clean from contamination of shirk, counterculture, penyerupaan, and all that is not worthy of Him. Allah Ta'ala has all the properties that match the perfection of His majesty.

A Muslim man should glorify Him with the maximum exaltation, body and heart to do good deeds which Allah Ta'ala loves and avoid what Allah ta'ala hate, believe in what Allah ta'ala proclaimed as a truth, and bathilnya kebathilan, heart filled with a sense of love and longing to him, grateful for His favors, wait for disasters that befall him, and pleased with his destiny. (Words of Shaykh Muhammad Hayat Sindi As rahimahullah).

Advice to His Book

Then the next piece of advice is the advice for his book, the intention is to believe that the Qur'an is kalamullah (word of God) either the letter or its meaning, then revealed to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam through the Angel Gabriel is therein contained guidance and light, as the word of Allah Ta'ala (which means), "Verily this Qur'an give clues to the (road) is more straight." (Surat Al-Israa ': 9).

Then a strong desire to understand it, have great attention in mentadabburinya (merenunginya), serious and full of concentration to read it to gain an understanding in accordance with the will of God and His Messenger. Ibn Qayim rahimahullah said, "If people knew what they would pick if they read the Koran with tadabbur (contemplation), surely he'll busy myself with it and do not care about other affairs. At the moment through a verse, which happen to him really need to treat a disease that fester in his heart, he will be kept repeating, although up to one hundred times or even all night long. Reading the Qur'an with a better appreciation and understanding than mengkhatamkan without contemplating the Qur'an and understand its meaning. Tadabbur because it would be more beneficial for the liver, further adds to the faith, and a servant could more feel the sweetness of the Qur'an. "(Miftah Daar As Sa'adah, I/553).

After contemplating and understanding, then a Muslim trying to practice and teach it to others. Indeed the fruits of reading the Qur'an is to understand and practice it, so that both of these things (to understand and practice) are two interrelated things. Therefore, it would be bad if we understand the verses of the Qur'an but do not want to practice it. Allah ta'ala says (which means), "O those who believe, Why do not you say something you do? Huge resentment at the sight of Allah that ye say what ye do not. "(Surah Ash Shaff: 2-3).

Advice to His Messenger

The purpose of the advice to His Messenger is to believe he is the main seutama-being and the beloved of Allah Ta'ala. Allah ta'ala make it truly messengers (read: the last prophet) to convey his treatise (The Qur'an and Sunnah) to His servants, so there is no doubt it. Justify all the news that he was to say, either already occurred or will occur, because in fact what he conveyed was a revelation from Allah Ta'ala, Allah Ta'ala says (which means), "And there is no thing she said that, according to willingness desires. His remarks were nothing but revelation revealed (to him). "(Surat an-Najm: 3-4).

Then the subject and obedient to his orders and stay away from its ban, as Allah ta'ala says (which means), "And what is given to you then accept his Apostles, and what he forbids you then leave." (Surat al Hasyr: 7).

Prioritizing and prioritizing in love with him sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam above love of self, children, relatives, family, wealth, and others without the attitude ghuluw (exaggerated), boosting the position exceeds the position which he blessed the Prophet of Allah Ta'ala Him. Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "No perfect faith in any one of you, until I was more than he loved his son, his parents, and all mankind." (Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim).

And including the shape of love to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam is to worship God according to what is exemplified and taught by the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam without any added or reduced-add, he said, "Whoever commits a practice that is not appropriate with the cue, then the practice was rejected. "(Narrated by Muslim).

Advice to Muslims Leaders

Meaning advice to the leaders of the Muslims are receiving their orders, hear, and obey them in terms that are not immoral, because there is no obedience to the creature in this adulterous told Al-Khaliq (the Creator), as Allah says (which means), " O ye who believe, obey Allah and obey the Apostle (His), and ulil amr (ruler) of you. "(Surah An Nisaa ': 59).

Help them to always be above the path of truth and remind them with a fine and wise. Includes principles of Ahl al-Sunnah wal Jama, is not provoked them to revolt against the ruling, although the ruling was a wrongdoer. It should not be provoked, either from the pulpit, where special and general, or through the media and others. Because such a violation of the instructions of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, he said, "He who wants to submit advice to the ruler, should not present it in public, but Hold hands and menyendirilah with him. If he is willing to accept this advice, then that's (expected), if not then indeed he has been carrying out its obligations. "(Narrated by Ahmad).

Pray for good to them is also one form of advice to the leaders of the Muslims. Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal rahimauhullah said, "If I only have one prayer that was granted by Allah Ta'ala, will undoubtedly kutujukan to the government." (Hilyah al-Auliya ', VIII/91).

Advice to Muslims

The last advice in the above hadith is the advice to the Muslims in general, that is by helping them in good, forbade them to do evil, guiding them to the guide, preventing them from straying with a vengeance, and wants good for them as he wanted it for themselves own, because they all are servants of God.

In providing advice should not be limited to speech, but must be followed by deeds. Thus, this advice will come true and is evident in the Muslim community, as a bad cover, complement deficiency, prevention of hazards, the giver of benefits, amar nahi ma'ruf evil, respect for elders, affection towards smaller and avoid fraud and malice.

Best advice

The best advice is when someone asks to be advised. As the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "If someone asked for advice to you, then encourage it." (Narrated by Muslim). That is, if someone asks counsel in a case and ask for your opinion the best for her, then you should be serious in giving advice, both in terms of who she likes or that she did not like.

Providing Legal Advice

An rahimahullah Nawawi said, "The law is advising fardhu kifayah. That is, if there is someone who is already doing so gugurlah obligations of the other. And this advice is a necessity in accordance with levels of ability. " Among the People 'ilmi like Nazhim Shaykh Muhammad Sultan said, "I argued, the law provides comprehensive advice to its meaning as already explained, there is a Fardhu' ain, there is a fardhu kifayah, there are mandatory, and there is also a sunnah. Because Rasululluh sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam explained, religion is advice. While religious laws that must exist, sunnah, Fardhu 'ain, and fardhu kifayah. "
